Thanks to some operators of the Verziere, known as the former fruit and vegetable market of Milan, in 1937 has been founded the “Facchini Cooperative”. Since then, the cooperative has been constantly present in Milan general markets and in 1978 it assumed the current denomination “CLO Scrl Fruit and Vegetable Market Workers Cooperative”, today abbreviated as “Clo - Logistic Services”. At the beginning of the 80's CLO takes the opportunities arising from new mass market strategies and proposes himself as services supplier inside and outside his own warehouses. In the late 90', CLO in collaboration with other partners, establishes the Immobiliare Logistica SpA whose role consists in managing the concern's real estate interventions. The first goals of this company have been two monitored temperature platforms (over 42.000 squared metres) placed in Siziano (PV). In 2005 the third platform (11.000 s.m.) has been acquired. In 2003 CLO, affirmed as main partner for his clients in the field of handling of goods, establishes "CLO Management", structure of logistic design and engineering. Thanks to the aquired experience, starting from 2005, restablishes CLO the transport and storage activities, directly providing his customers with integrated logistics services aver the whole national territory. Thanks to partnerships, shareholdings and the establishment of other specialized companies and cooperatives, such as “Movitrento” for logistics services in the Trentino - Alto Adige area and “Me&Log” for promotion and merchandising services in the points of sale, CLO can offer 360 ° logistics services: from the project to the construction or leasing of the warehouse, to the recruitment of personnel, including administrative ones, to training up to the operational management of all logistical processes. CLO in 2011 establishes CLOCOM, a company specialized in e-commerce and specifically in the purchase, import and wholesale and retail trade in Italy and abroad. The latest addition to the group is the cooperative “MultiCLO”: spin off of the CLO Group dedicated to facility management and multiservices. CLO's identity has its roots in cooperation as an instrument of economic protection of the Members and of benefit for the community. The legal nature and purpose of CLO is therefore to offer work opportunities to its Members, in a corporate social context that places people at the centre, preserving employment and promoting the enhancement of individual professionalism. CLO closes 2021, with over 1,900 working members, over 93 million turnover, more than 1300 internal handling vehicles, over 330 million packages / year handled, and over 3.4 million hours / year of work at the service of customers, representing an "Italian" point of excellence.
