A cool 55,000 km in fully electric mode

The Spanish logistics group Carreras has completed a trial of a new refrigerated semi-trailer with Thermo King’s self-charging electric refrigeration system for trailers.

Starting in January 2024, the test vehicles operated for almost 55,000 km in fully electric mode, deploying a special hybrid trailer refrigeration and a special energy recovery system. Together with the use of biofuel, Carreras reduced total emissions during the test phase by 90%. Read more
