The General Assembly of IRU, the world road transport organisation, has unanimously re-elected Radu Dinescu as President along with new vice presidents and a new Presidential Executive. The 2025-2027 term will mark two significant firsts for women in commercial road transport.

Today in Geneva, IRU members re-elected Radu Dinescu as President for a third term.
IRU members also elected new vice presidents and members of the Presidential Executive (IRU’s governing board), as well as members of its passenger and goods council boards.
The voting followed two days of meetings in Geneva which included the IRU Passenger Transport Council, the IRU Goods Transport Council and the IRU General Assembly.
For the first time, the IRU Passenger Transport Council will have a woman President, Anna Grönlund (Deputy Managing Director, SBF, Sweden), and the Presidential Executive will have four women, echoing the road transport sector’s drive to boost the representation of women in its workforce.
