China’s Xinjiang International Land Port Group joins IRU

Founded in 2018, Xinjiang International Land Port specialises in modern logistics, international trade and supply chain finance.

It was established to support the Xinjiang region’s strategy of opening up to the west and promoting land connectivity with countries along China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Xinjiang International Land Port has been developing, expanding and innovating its international road transport services under the TIR system. It conducted China’s first “cross-border e-commerce (9610) + TIR operation” in 2020.

IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “Xinjiang International Land Port has been advancing TIR services in China for some years now. We’re very pleased that they have decided to join IRU.”

“Together, we can develop new secure trade corridors under TIR from the Xinjiang region, which borders Central Asian countries and serves as China’s vital gateway to the west,” he added. Read more
