Long haul trial with electric powered mega truck

DB Schenker is testing Scania's 64 t heavy and 24 m long fully electric powered truck in Sweden. The journey between the terminals in Jönköping and Södertälje takes around three hours.

As part of the project, the R 450e will replace a diesel-powered truck and transport goods between the terminals in the evening and at night before distributing them to customers during the day.

The vehicle has seven batteries with a capacity of 728 kwh. Read more
