Kombiverkehr increases connections to Greece and Turkey via Trieste

The beginning of 2024 brings more frequent connections between Germany, Greece and Turkey via the Italian port of Trieste. Kombiverkehr increases its rail services between the DUSS terminal in Munich-Riem and Trieste to five weekly roundtrips. From Trieste, goods can find their way to the Greek port of Patras and the Turkish ports of Pendik, Mersin, and Cesme.

Until now, Kombiverkehr has offered three weekly roundtrips in this direction. According to the Frankfurt-based intermodal operator, customers can book the service in a one-stop shop manner. The transport of P400 semitrailers is possible along the whole route, while most importantly, it will also be possible to arrange the transportation of hazardous goods, with the only exception being class 1 and 7 dangerous goods. Via Trieste and Munich, Kombiverkehr can also ensure further connections to the UK, the Benelux, Poland, Norway and Sweden. Read more
