More Vectrons for Europe's railways

Beacon Rail has ordered ten Vectron MS multi-system locomotives from Siemens Mobility which are to be deployed along the Rhine-Alpine corridor and between the North Sea ports and the European hinterland.

This order will give Beacon Rail an overall portfolio of 170 Vectron locomotives, the UK-based rolling stock lessor said.

The locomotives have a maximum power at wheel of 6.4 megawatts and a top speed of 160 km/h. Read more
