Spain: 21 new freight locomotives ordered

Captrain in Spain and Alpha Trains have signed an agreement to lease up to 21 new build Euro 6000 Stadler locomotives. An initial order for eleven of these locomotives has already been confirmed.

Five Euro 6000 will have standard gauge and will be certified for the Spanish, French and Luxembourg networks allowing them to be utilised for hauling trains coming from Spain on three European rail freight corridors (North Sea Mediterranean, Mediterranean and Atlantic). Read more
