Following the ‘successful’ deployment of Dexory’s autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and integrated data platform in its Kettering warehouse in January, Maersk UK&I is expanding its use of this technology across all its warehouses in the UK and Ireland.
The combined solution consists of Dexory AMRs and the DexoryView platform, which work together to “help Maersk measure, track, and locate goods across every logistics step, from inbound to storage to outbound”.
DexoryView, launched in January 2023, is a platform that automates data collection and builds real–time digital twins to offer greater insights into warehouse operations with the aim of improving efficiency.
Maersk’s Tamworth facility will be the next to have the technology deployed; this process will take place in early June, to be followed by all remaining warehouses in the region.
The logistics company is investing in its UK warehousing network. In addition to its warehouses in Kettering and Tamworth, it has another in Doncaster and, in April 2023, signed a lease for a 685,000ft² facility at SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway. Read more
