CMA CGM starts new rail service on Mediterranean Corridor

CMA CGM launched a new rail service linking the port of Valencia with Murcia, both in southeastern Spain. This rail section is part of the TEN-T Mediterranean Corridor. With this new service, the industrial area in Murcia will now benefit from CMA CGM’s connections to China, India, and the USA via the port.


As the French shipping company said, this new rail shuttle service will have one weekly departure, and transit time will revolve around one day. The area surrounding Murcia is renowned for its agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts. With this new service, CMA CGM now has 16 rail connections in Spain, where the company established its rail operator, Continental Rail, in 2021. Read more
