British Freight and Logistics Interests Asked for Feedback on Future of Maritime Industry

UK – The British Government’s Transport Committee is launching a new inquiry into industry and government action in response to the Maritime Growth Study, a report on the UK’s maritime sector, published by the Department for Transport in September 2015. The report, which is of the utmost relevance to UK freight and logistics stakeholders, was the culmination of an in-depth study of the whole UK maritime sector, from shipping and ports to the complete range of business services associated with the industry. It set out several recommendations designed to ensure the UK maintains its traditional status as a maritime centre, and how to take advantage of opportunities for global growth. Read more
