The logistics of Industry and Distribution and Overseas The 3 pillars of SITL 2015

Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles

Getting closer to the transport and logistics concerns of manufacturing and commercial enterprises is the aim of SITL Paris which next year will take place from the 31st of March to the 2nd of April at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles.

With leading transport and logistics groups and SME’s as its backbone and a complete offering in technology, equipment and sites dedicated to logistics, SITL Paris 2015 will be based around 3 specialised programmes: Industrial logistics, the logistics of Distribution and overseas.
“This new approach is developed as a response to the evolution of a more global and specialised logistics supplying services of high added value, according to the channel”
Each market will be defined by its specialisations: general cargo and specialised transport across all modes, dangerous goods, controlled temperature, from the box to the pallet, from the container to the tank, dry to refrigerated goods.
Urban deliveries, product value at the end of lifecycle, extended international supply chains, the frontiers for transport and logistics never stop evolving. With the impact of outsourcing intensified by globalisation, new logistics organisations and collaborative approaches are developing all the way from inside the factory to the store

“ With the aid of a new generation of information systems and data exchange, they support the concept of logistics chains where reliability, service quality and response are connected to the performance of each link” explains Alain Bagnaud, Director Reed Exhibitions Transport & Logistics*.

Depending on their offering and commercial targets, exhibitors will prioritise one market or another or even all three. Certain players will prefer to specialise while others cover the whole chain.

Industrial logistics, distribution logistics or overseas, three specialised programmes allow exhibitors to get noticed by the right customers. “Each exhibitor can increase the personalisation of their messages to target their contacts with shippers and specifiers”

“With regards to visitors, the needs of a transport, logistics or supply chain director from a large retailer or food processing company are not the same as those for someone from the aerospace, automotive or mining industries. SITL 2015 provides a programme best adapted to the diversity of participants”.

“It is also logical that links for overseas markets in the widest sense should also be represented: ports, shipowners, rail and air transport operators, freight forwarders, intermodal transport operators, customs authorities... »

SITL Paris 2015 provides exhibitors a means to optimise their visibility and know-how at an international, national, regional or local level.

Responding to the on the ground reality of both industrial and distribution logistics SITL Paris 2015 will be at the service of all members of the wider logistics communities across regions and competitive centres of their respective specialities. Alain Bagnaud concludes:”This is because activity is carried out regionally and a major international event should contribute to the promotion
of their territories”.
